I have always been informed by the ocean around me. Both above and below the surface of the ocean. Above the surface of the ocean, it is the ephemeral colours of the sunsets reflected across the coastal horizon that inform my work. On clear evenings I watch as the sunsets make their astounding colour displays, transforming moment by moment. These transitions of colour, light, and shadow are but fleeting, yet deeply grounding, offering moments of stillness and awe. My vessels strive to echo this fleeting beauty: they are quiet, contemplative forms that seek to capture the essence of these luminous, passing moments.
