STORM

The place where I live look’s out on the Atlantic sea. I am privileged to swim in these coastal waters most days throughout the year. It is a huge source of fascination and inspiration in my art practice. I am particularly interested in that space between the undersea and the surface of the water, the place that most interacts with light and weather conditions. The mesmeric capacious wonderland that lies below the surface of the sea greets you as a dreamy jade green place where worldly sounds are suspended and where time is forgotten. The fickle surface ever capricious, encounters the placid tranquillity of flat calm waters to sudden tempestuous and choppy swells.
